The Strange Death Of Liberal England – Manchester, Leeds, London

The Strange Death of Liberal England return with a new single, Come On You Young Philosophers! To celebrate the release, the band play a clutch of live shows throughout the UK in May.

‘Come On You Young Philosophers!’ is taken from the band’s acclaimed album ‘Drown Your Heart Again’, released through Republic of Music at the end of 2010.
Having made waves with their emergence in 2007 and a string of well received singles and the mini album ‘Forward March’, the band disappeared from public view with the exception of one, all seated, orchestral show at their home town’s Portsmouth New Royal Theatre in 2009. Having worked with producer David M Allen on their debut album after he approached them and declared himself a fan of their work, the band’s first return to the limelight was as support to Editors throughout the UK in March last year. Renowned for their colourful, rowdy, often chaotic shows, the band have collected a fanatical fanbase, evinced by their sold out show at Portsmouth’s Theatre Royal as headliners of the Portsmouth Festival in 2010. Little wonder that our advice is to make sure you see one of the following dates

3rd May – Manchester Roadhouse
4th May – Leeds The Cockpit
6th May – London Boston Arms
