The Plight hail from the rock capita of Yorkshire, Leeds. They formed back in the winter of 2005 and have since released a demo, two E.P.'s and an album, 'Winds Of Osiris', to both fan and critical acclaim.

The Plight have toured the UK and Europe extensively with bands such as Gallows and Converge gaining fans wherever they play.

After releasing their demo, they signed to Thirty Days Of Night Records, with whom they released a self titled, seven track E.P. and in March 2007 the band were signed by Visible Noise Records. Their debut Visible Noise release Black Summer, was released on October 8, 2007 and was well received by the press, earning a 'KKKK' from Kerrang magazine.

The band appeared on a UK tour with Poison The Well in April 2008, followed by a European tour with Converge in July. In May 2009 they were part of the Vans 'Off The Wall' Uk Tour alongside SSS and Cancer Bats.
