Deaf Havana are another one of those bands that are rolling off the conveyor belt of UK post-hardcore, screamo, time-change riff and wonderfulness. Chasing the likes of Enter Shikari, We Are The Ocean et al, Deaf Havana are bringing the rage to a stage near you. Manchester in particular on the 12th June @ Jabez Clegg.
Supported by Ward Corner and Pinups And Pullouts – it’s a scene gig you should be at.
“East Anglian's Deaf Havana are no fucking farmers. Gigging extensively across the UK and Europe with the likes of Deftones, Flood of Red, Across Five Aprils, Dividing The Line, We Are The Ocean and You Me At Six has given the 5 lad's screamo, post-hardcore and southern rock music a unique sound, much like slapping Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw, Head Automatica) on stage with Everytime I Die and Comeback Kid. The result crushes the balls of the underground scene gone stale and leases crowds with a new sense of fresh talent, intoxication, and deviancy.”
Ward Corner were born in November 2005. Blending every musical style under the sea (except opera), a startling array of facial hair and a rusty A – Team 'Van' – Ainsley Harriot has never seen a better screamo band. Professional critics has described us as everything between 'The Crazy Frog having its bollocks ripped off', 'A heavy gay pride disco' and 'shit'. We're gonna come round your house, not wipe our shoes, use your toilet and not put the seat down and conquer your musical minds… and they all lived happily ever after.
