Mad Dog Mcrea
The Fifth Movement
@ Mello Mello, Liverpool
With a fresh six piece and 3 albums, Mad Dog Mcrea blend a unique mixture of folk rock, pop, gypsy jazz, bluegrass and 'shake your ass' music. From self-penned songs of adventure, drinking, love and life to traditional songs of gypsies, fairies, legless pirates and black flies, Mad Dog never fail to capture their audience with their infectious songs.
With their increasingly lively and spontaneous performances the band are acclaimed, not only for their music but for the off stage antics that seems to surround them.
The band now embark on their first major UK tour to spread the Mad Dog word across the country, with an acclaimed recent album “The Whirling Dervish” with plays by Mike Harding on Radio 2, it’s time for the band to step up and meet their burgeoning fanbase.
“Musical magicians Mad Dog Mcrea are synonymous not only with a damn good party but also quality musicianship and the odd surprise” – Talk Torbay
