Dead Buttons
Intense rock two piece DEAD BUTTONS were formed by Hong, a veteran of Korea’s indie scene who previously played in Seoul hardcore band Combative, post-punk bands Sweet Guerillaz and Oi! Resolute, and pop-tinged garage rock act The Infamous Orchestra.
Signed quickly to the UK label Baltic Records and ADA/Warner, Dead Buttons released their debut EP ‘Whoever You Are’ in 2015 and toured extensively including the UK, Russian Festival V-ROX Festival in Vladivostok and SXSW festival in Texas. The EP showcases their sonic blend of garage rock, blues, country, punk, and psychedelic music and is an infectious introduction to the fast-rising pair. This year they release their first album ‘Some Kind Of Youth’.
Max Raptor
Max Raptor – formed of frontman Wil Ray, guitarist Ben Winnington, bass player Matt Stevenson and drummer Pete Reisner – have been described as one of the most vital British rock bands of recent times, combining rock n’ roll and a partisan punk attitude. Hailing from the small UK town of Burton Upon Trent, Max Raptor have honed their craft through relentless touring across the UK and a series of festival appearances (Reading & Leeds, Download, Sonisphere), resulting in the band quickly becoming regarded as a formidable force in the UK rock underground.
DTSQ (Delta Sequence)
Mixing rough and raw punk rock with influences from the alternative, psychedelic, techno and house scenes, DTSQ create a unique sound combining guitars and keyboards. In July 2015, they were awarded the ‘Hello Rookie’ accolade by Korean TV & Radio Network EBS and have played at least 70 gigs since. In 2016 they will perform at the Nuits Sonores Festival in France as well as PRIMAVERA PRO in Spain.
We Are The Night
Formed in 2013 from the ashes of pop punk band Rocket Diary, WE ARE THE NIGHT won the prize of the week on FUJI TV audition show ‘Asia Versus’, and were immediately thrust into the limelight throughout Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Indonesia. Single ‘Holiday’, released in March 2016 showcases their new cool and mellow electronic pop sound.
