Judy Collins, Jon Gomm & Andy Mckee

Cultural treasure Judy Collins returns to the UK to perform her 29th studio album Spellbound, alongside material from more than 50 years in music on her latest tour set to take place in 2022!

Judy Collins has always exhibited impeccable taste in songcraft. Her discerning palette and literary gifts have seen her evolve into a poetic, storyteller songwriter.

On her landmark 1967 album, Wildflowers, she curated a stunning collection featuring originals alongside songs by not-yet household names such as Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen, and adventurous selections by Jacques Brel and Francesco Landini. Now, in her sixth decade as a singer and songwriter, Judy is experiencing a profound level of growth and prolific creativity. Her latest album demonstrates an artistic renaissance. The first time she has written all of the songs on an album, it features twelve modern folk songs and a reworking of her much-loved ‘The Blizzard’.

Jon Gomm, is an acoustic singer-songwriter with a revolutionary virtuoso guitar style, where he uses one acoustic guitar to create drum sounds, basslines and twisting melodies all at the same time. The emphasis is still on the soulful vocals and song writing, and his original material is influenced by everything from Robert Johnson to Radiohead.

His live shows combine deeply personal performances and a natural wit, with a once seen, never forgotten two-handed guitar style, both physical and complex, producing sounds people can barely believe are coming from a humble acoustic guitar.

Jon first laid his hands on a guitar at the age of two (actually it was a ukulele – his parents couldn’t find a guitar small enough). He wrote his first song at the age of six, and was soon accompanying his father, a music critic, to gigs in his hometown of Blackpool. Touring musicians would often stay at the Gomm household on the understanding Jon would get a guitar lesson, meaning he had one-to-one instruction from such blues legends as BB King and Jack Bruce of Cream.

Andy McKee is among the world’s finest acoustic guitarists. His youthful energy and attention to song structure and melodic content elevates him above the rest. He entertains both the eye and the ear as he magically transforms the steel string guitar into a full orchestra via his use of altered tunings, tapping, partial capos, percussive hits and a signature two-handed technique.

McKee’s crossover success has helped him to achieve millions upon millions of YouTube viewers, underscoring his emergence as one of today’s most unique and influential artists. His song, “Drifiting” became one of the first YouTube viral videos with almost 60 million views. He has been featured as a cover story in both Acoustic Guitar Magazine in the US and the UK, and is also the figurehead of the unique Guitar Masters tours. He also curates his own annual guitar camp called Musicarium. McKee’s tour dates have taken him through Europe, Asia, Australia and North America, including tours with legendary acts including Prince, Dream Theater, and Tommy Emmanuel.
