Jessie @ Madame Jojo's, London – 3rd November

Every now and then a talent comes along that makes even the most hardened music hack sit up and take notice. We recently stumbled across Jessie and even before we heard a note it seemed everything was in place – her look, the fact that one of her songs is the soundtrack to a Nivea TV ad(!), and the knowledge that having already supported the likes of Macy Gray, Girls Aloud and Taio Cruz, she is soon off on tour with Cyndi Lauper and Jools Holland. Clearly a few people in the know have cottoned on to her…

She plays at Soho's Madame Jojo's on November 3rd.

Excellent support comes from Kelli Ali, Shezar and Bianca Bohl.
Ali is a Birmingham based folk singer and former lead singer of Sneaker Pimps. Ali focuses on whimsical vocal work and sparse arrangements, crafting unique explorations into modern folk, medieval melodies and contemporary classical music.
“Stunning – it is immense. A sprawling lament to lost innocence” – Wound Magazine
Shezar is a soul and house diva with an excellent knack for experimentation. Now a solo star in her own right, she has preiviously performed with a seemingly endless list of musicians, including Natasha Bedingfield and The Guillemots.
Bianca Bohl is a folk songstress with a classical edge.
“It takes a fine touch to blend this many sounds and musicians without muddying the waters and the classically trained Bohl has this touch, with each element of the music giving something extra to the overall sound.”
