Quirky indie-popsters The Hussy’s are Glasgow’s hottest new export, headed by singer Fili and ex-Supernaturals frontman James McColl.
They play unashamed pop, but it's pop with more than half a brain; the songs are all brilliantly constructed with refreshingly off-kilter lyrics, producing a huge and polished sound, topped by Fili's powerful and witty vocal delivery.
The Hussy’s released debut EP, “Tiger” in late 2005, followed by “Napoleon EP”(2006) and “Necklace EP”(2007), all championed by BBC Radio 1 / 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, whilst also receiving extensive radio airplay from BBC Radio 2 and XFM
The release of the critically acclaimed mini-album “We Expected”, released exclusively in Japan has resulted in BBC sessions and a track being featured in an American TV advert, leading to international interest for this six-piece.
