Pulled Apart By Horses – Back to the Fuck Yeah

Pulled apart by horses are back with what can only be described as… well… it can’t be described… this is simply their best work yet, and all the snotty journalistic ‘wordsmithery’ you can throw at it just wont cut it… but we’ll certainly give it a try…

They’ve been touring the scene for a few years and are finally about to release their eponymous self titled album, with Back To The Fuck Yeah as the lead single… and WHAT a lead single!

With Vines-esque vocal styles and a video that seems to pay homage to the ‘Evil Dead’ film series, it’s obvious exactly where the band see themselves in indie culture.

Thankfully, the track lives up to it: brash riffs over disco-styled drum beats and screaming vocals force every drop of energy out of the band and onto the record like the wringing of a wet rag… the best kind of wet rag (think of that what you will)!

Superbly recorded in Bridlington and produced by local(ish) Leeds boy James Kenosha, the single is a success above an increasing pile of indie sub-standards.

You can catch these guys at the following dates:
14 Jun – Deaf Institute, Manchester
15 Jun – 100 Club, London
16 Jun – Bodega Social Club, Nottingham
17 Jun – King Tuts, Glasgow
19 Jun – Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
