The Answer - Be What You Want

The Answer - Be What You Want
There are some bands who have been intensely and unjustifiably overhyped and failed to deliver. The Answer is not one of these bands. In their case, much of the hype has been justified as the Ulstermen’s undoubted talent shines through on highly ambitious single Be What You Want.
The classic rock influences are there to be seen in this powerful, Zeppelinesque single, which builds stylishly throughout. The only worry for The Answer is that they may lack versatility - their cover of Aerosmith’s Sweet Emotion is a little predictable, while the other two b-sides show an apparent unwillingness to deviate from the band’s preferred genre. Nevertheless, it is perhaps better to stick to what you do best if the alternative would fail to reach the same high standards.
