Duffy – Well, Well, Well

Duffy – one of the most successful female vocalists of this decade – is back with a modern shakedown called ‘Well, Well, Well’, released November 21st.

‘Well, Well, Well’, the first single from her eagerly anticipated new album ‘Endlessly’, is a funk driven, instant pop smash, co-written and produced by the legendary Albert Hammond (best known for the classic songs ‘When I Need You’ and ‘The Air That I Breathe’) and the singer herself.

Short, sharp and seriously fun, the track was recorded in both New York and London and features the incomparable hip-hop group The Roots, who also feature further as the rhythm section throughout ‘Endlessly’.

This stomping track sees a playful Duffy writing lyrics like “Why you giving me the third degree/when I’m not guilty of what you’re saying I do”.

“Presumptions, assumptions” giggles Duffy, of the song’s pointed lyrics, which play over a melody that will raise the hairs on your arms and get your feet tapping addictively.

The track is the first to be taken from ‘Endlessly’, the follow up to 2008’s worldwide smash debut ‘Rockferry’.

‘Rockferry’ sold 6.5 million copies globally and was the biggest selling album of 2008 in the UK from one of Universal Music’s most successful debut artists ever.
