This one could be a bit on the twee side for some folks but we couldn't resist this playful new track and video from Masaki Hanakata.

On the charming 'Africa' he plays guitar, piano, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, glockenspiel and more, recording and producing everything in his own home studio in Kochi, Japan. Citing his influences as The Beatles, Todd Harry Rundgren, and living and breathing, his new album 'Lentment' is a kitsch and relentlessly upbeat treat from start to finish.

Is it folk? Pop music? Who cares, it's just bloody lovely - good on you Masaki, there's enough misery in the world already.
