Matchbox Twenty Back With A Bang

American pop-rock giants Matchbox Twenty have taken their new album ‘North’ to new heights and new climes, grabbing the US Billboard Top Spot and topping the Australian chart.

It’s a firm fixture in the UK Album Charts too – currently at No.14 – and the new tracks – including the Radio 1 A Listed single ‘She’s So Mean’ look set to be a highlight of next week’s shows; Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Tuesday and iTunes Festival at The Roundhouse on Wednesday.

‘North’ has struck gold, debuting for the first time on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at No.1 with 95,000 units. Singer Rob Thomas also recently appeared in smash US sitcom Always Sunny In Philadelphia as himself, starring alongside US comedians Sinbad and Danny DeVito.

The band’s fourth LP, it’s also their first album of original material in ten years. Might need to clear some space on the awards shelf lads, looks like it could be a good year...
