Devils Brigade, the side project of celebrated Bay Area punk legend Matt Freemen (Rancid, Operation Ivy), will be coming overseas to the UK this Spring. The tour will kick off in Kingston, UK on March 2nd.

Devils Brigade started in 2000, when bassist Matt Freeman began writing songs with Tim Armstrong between Rancid tours. This led to a few EPs and some songs on Hellcat’s “Give ‘Em The Boot” compilation. However, the project was put on the back burner and years went by. After Rancid took a break from touring on the “Let The Dominoes Fall” record, Matt got the itch to reactivate the project. The long awaited, self-titled debut album, featuring Rancid’s Tim Armstrong on guitar, was released in August 2010 via Hellcat Records.

“While Freeman’s gruff vocal delivery is still very punk rock, the overwhelming success of these dozen tracks is due to the effortless eclecticism of their gritty underclass portraits.” - Alternative press
Devil’s Brigade is filled with the unexpected, serving as a solid reminder of why any project by a member of the Rancid gang is a project worth looking into.” –

Matt assembled a touring band that will join him when he hits the road! Make sure you check them out live!
